It is with great sadness to hear of the passing of Peter Dawes, who died on 7th May at the age of 85.
Peter lived in Salt for many years and dedicated much of his working life to the Electrical Departments at both Rugeley ‘A’ and ‘B’ Power Stations. He was one of the most knowledgeable and respected engineers it was a privilege to know, with a depth of understanding that set him apart.
Beyond his professional expertise, Peter was a true gentleman who always had time for others. He freely shared his knowledge and offered guidance to those around him, leaving a lasting impression on colleagues and friends alike.
His passing is a great loss not only to those who knew him personally but also to the wider engineering community, which is undoubtedly poorer without him.
Our thoughts and heartfelt condolences go to his family at this difficult time.
Rest in peace, Peter. From Colleagues of Rugeley Power Station
